Description
A sweet, complex and truly unique Mead-inspired Imperial Stout, with caramelised Scottish heather honey and pure Canadian maple syrup , aged for four months in Scottish whisky barrels.
Up Front say “This was originally a whisky barrel aged imperial stout which I brewed in Applecross in the north of Scotland in Dec 2021, which then became something a bit more special when I realised I could use it to help provide support for the Ukraine. It is now a long range collab with a Ukrainian meadery – Silver Spoon Meads from Kharkiv – with the addition of a huge quantity of highly caramelised Scottish heather honey, and pure Canadian maple syrup.
I then contacted Stanley Donwood who had just re-released the artwork from Thom Yorke’s The Eraser album in yellow and blue, to raise funds for the ongoing humanitarian crisis. He once again (and without hesitation I might add!) allowed me to use his beautiful artwork, and here we are – it HAD to be called VOLODYMYR, after seeing the artwork you’ll see why. Profits from VOLODYMYR will go to the Disasters and Emergencies Committee, including all the profits from my Nordic distributors! Some lads! 😀
“So get about it, I can say with some confidence that it’ll be the best braggot/botchet/acerglyn imperial stout you’ll have had all week!”
